Along with Steve (M4n0x), we built StableBar, a native macOS menu bar that brings workspaces, music, system stats and everyday tools into one place. It’s free and open source.

A native macOS menu bar, built to be rearranged, restyled and scripted.
Move things around.
Drag widgets into place, then adjust their content, size and style. The bar editor, Settings and JSON all use the same configuration. If a command can print text, it can become a widget too.
Add what you use.
Music controls, weather, GitHub notifications and development servers sit alongside the built-in widgets. The package store shows where each one comes from and what it needs before you add it to the bar.
Pick a different mood.
Fifteen themes plus the Built-in look, in light and dark. Platinum borrows from Mac OS 8 and 9. Handheld uses four shades of console green. Phosphor glows like an amber terminal.
More than a label.
Open a widget for calendars, graphs, sliders and other controls. Switch widgets and the popup morphs into the next. Even the documentation uses these native views, rendered with sample data and a fixed clock.
